Hi Guys, 

As a lot of you may know Lanarkshire is my home county.

Lanarkshire or "County of Lanark" as it is also known as is situated in the Scottish Lowlands. It's is neighbored by Dumfies and Galloway, Stirlingshire, Ayrshire, Greater Glasgow and Lothian. 

Historically Lanarkshire was one of the most popular areas of Scotland and in modern day covers 879 Sq Mi and is home to approx 654,490 people. 

Lanarkshire is home to beautiful country side, large manor houses and ruined castles all bursting with tales of tragedy, victory and defeat.

Lanarkshire played a big part in forming the Great Britain that we know it today and was the birth place for many famous historic faces.
